Thanks John. Actually I did buy it on sale actually an hour before the sale ended. Thanks again for the link.

Wilt, I did tried finding on here in the sale section. Did find a couple of different ones, but not knowing quality of the brands I wouldn't want to be a pest and start asking if certain ones are good or not. I would probably feel annoying if I read someone doing that, so I wasn't going to do that myself either. So I figured I would ask for suggestions and go from there to see what I can actually be willing to spend.

Ra40, thanks for the pictures.

So many things I need to learn but at times not knowing I want to ask but don't want to be the one who annoys everyone here. LOL.

Just ask!

There are very few idiots on this forum and the few that there are are easy to spot. Probably why I like this forum! Just throw your questions out there and see what comes back - 90% + will be helpful - just ignore the rest.

Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).

So I got the Oben AT-3565 Folding Aluminum Travel Tripod with BC-217T Ball Head today, what a big difference compared to my $25 tripod. Much sturdier and feels solid as well. Thanks for the help John, sure beats paying full price for it.

This thread shows that it pays to know the good budget brands, like Yongnuo flashes/triggers, and the Neewer branded flashguns' that are actually rebadged Godox/Kenro flashguns. That will save you £££££££'$/$$$$$$$'s. I've never heard of Oben before.

Oben is the B&H house brand. The tripods are manufactured by various OEMs.

At some point everyone thought that tripod names had to include "Ben"
So we have Oben, Benro, Benbo, BenDover,. etc.
