L4-17 a female Whooping Crane from the Experimental Whooping Crane Population established in Coastal Louisiana is currently in a rice field on private land in eastern Arkansas. She arrived in this area over a week ago after spending several weeks along the Arkansas River in Western Arkansas. She spent most of the summer in eastern Oklahoma after her release in Louisiana last winter. L4-17 is banded and wearing a transmitter.
