I love my 5d classics and what better to pair it with other than the classic canon EF 28-80 f/2.8-4! I’ve sesrched on here for a lens archive and haven’t found much in it. Maybe this will be the start of bringing back a classic lens. Photos to come!

Never heard of a 28-80. Interesting.

It's definitely an older vintage then any Canon DSLR. Wikipedia does include it with the article on the 28-80mm series. Both the L and slower non-L version were released around 1989. Good to see "vintage" EF lenses still going strong :-)

I just picked it up. Been watching the price go down for months now on my local CL. I’m all about these old gear. Heck I still have canons first DSLR the infamous 3mp, 3pt AF D30. Can’t wait to start shooting with this beauty.

Finally got to get out and shoot some random things with this lens and wow. I wanted to check the quality of the bokeh and sharpness. Pretty much consider this just an f/4 lens because f/2.8 goes up to 3.2 at 35mm. Take a look this is shot with 5d SOOC jpeg.

Technically, if we also count the cooperation with Kodak, it's Canon's fourth DSLR.
