I’m weak...
With the evolution to mirrorless and the inevitable retirement of the DSLR, the smart move would be to pass on this 1DX2. But, with gear, I’ve always been someone who uses what’s there now, versus waiting for the next best thing. Someday, sure, I’ll go mirrorless, but in this moment I’m going to thoroughly enjoy this cream of the crop 1 series body, and keep shooting what I love.
My other hesitation is: what will the 1DX2 bring to the table that my 5D4 doesn’t provide? It delivers the shots I want, no complaints, this 1 may be overkill! Probably, but I have a suspicion that it’ll deliver that last bit of performance and feature set that I didn’t know I was missing.
One thing I’m going to have to get used to is that the 1DX2 is my only DSLR without a touchscreen or wireless. Already fingerprinted up the new screen with a failed swipe haha

Best camera I’ve ever shot. Of course, I’ve never used the 5D4.
Kim, the 5D4 is marvelous! It’s been a stout, dependable companion, and I’m definitely keeping it until it crumbles into magnesium and plastic dust.
