For a while, I worked on a project that had me photographing saguaro cactii at night.

They were all illuminated by nearby streetlights and the bright light and the high position of the light source combined to create a look I found fascinating:

I liked the idea and loved the results, but after photographing eight or nine of them, I ran out of specimens within walking distance of my house.

To continue work on the project beyond that point would require me to drive around looking for other saguaros to photograph.

Which, of course, I fully intended to do at the time, but somehow, I just never got around to it. <sigh>

Maybe I should give this project another shot (no pun intended!)?

Looks like a nice place to eat! It's funny. This last week at work I was looking at interesting aviation locations, and rediscovered Wichita, home of Cessna Aircraft and Beechcraft corporations, along with a decent sized airport (ICT) and an air force base (McConnell). While I've never been to Wichita (been to Olathe (air traffic control center) and Lawrence (weather seminar at KU)), looks like a pretty cool place!
