Shot some more High School recently. The lighting in this rink is all over the place so I used the anti-flicker feature on the 80D which seemed to work OK. Last one is my youngest.

Federal Hockey League Port Huron Prowlers (Michigan) at Watertown Wolves (New York) for the Commissioners Cup finals.

my barn has old High Pressure Sodium lighting and used glass (used to be lexan) that was bought out of a closing ice rink. its marked with puck marks, scratches and all sort of imperfections. Watertown's rink has brand new ice, glass and LED lighting (that's about 2/3 as high as mine)...

i shot the same settings but 1/3 less stop on ISO because i was always fighting noise (or so I thought) and still pulled back about 1 stop, just liked exposing TTR...

can i add another? im just so tickled at how crisp and clean these shots were and how little i had to edit them, although looking at them again, it looks like i might have pulled back just a little too much exposure...
