Thank you.

As it turned out, I was pretty lucky on this one.

I saw her on a pole where I've seen her before, so I drove reasonably close and just pointed the camera up & fired a couple off. Then I proceeded to grab my beanbag & get it setup on the window so I could take some steady shots. Just as I did that, with the camera in the passenger seat, she flew off. :-/

I was really pleased when I got home & had this one.

Your lucky catch turned out rather nice - well done.

P.

Some stuff.

That's an absolute cracker, Mike. Lovely colours and a lovely, calm effect to the water.

What a nice compliment Jack. I truly thank you for that.

LD, or Mike
Often mistaken, but never in doubt.

Beautiful shot of a an equally beautiful bird.
Bronzewings were quite common here once. Not so now, sadly
The noise of their wings taking flight still lingers from my youth.
A bird we always respected and never known them to get the lead pellet treatment.

Thank Melissa, they are endemic to Australia.

Indeed Richard, the noise of their wings is only surpassed by the volume of their calls... this one being particularly noisy!
