Both are nice shots, but the first one of the Indian Roller in flight is quite spectacular.

Thanks for that jack, what happens with Lesters pictures for me - when it shows loading, it goes on and on and just doesn't open his pictures like everyone elses, then I see an X and an unablity to open his pics.

P.

Oh really, I have never heard this before from anyone.

I use some free server space my ISP provides, it comes down OK for me even on 4G (a different ISP), so it does not seem to be because of different IPSs.

However I find I get this problem with other people's images sometimes.

I have started a poll to get an idea if this is a wide spread issue or not.
https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1502460

Can those who have a problem as well as those that don't please take a moment to vote, that so much.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

BOSQUE DEL APAPCHE NWR

This time of year, my thoughts drift back to our November, 2014 trip to The Bosque, an unforgettable experience. I can search through those old files and still find new images to process, like these two. Our visit was cut short by freezing rain, but we have great memories and many wall hangers to remind us. I highly recommend this NWR, if you have not visited. Of course, if you have, you know what I am talking about.

I was leaving the Wildlife Refuge, on a small country road, heading for the highway when I saw a flash out of the corner of my eye. It was a Northern Harrier surveying the field next to me and he was basically flying right next to me. I grabbed the one camera I had not stowed before I left and started shooting, as I drove. Probably a bad idea in retrospect but it was one of those Adrenalin moments.

It's not the greatest because all I could do was grab the camera & shoot.

I get those moments all the time - even if I have the camera in my hand I still see birds that are too quick for me to react, I havn't yet caught a wagtail or sparrow in flight.
