One more from yesterday's Kinglet encounter.. feather detail is fantastic, haven't seen any drawback to this sensor vs. the 5D4, so my fears about cropping have been put to rest.

Thanks Mike.

Very little different to my normal workflow - in fact I did not realise the ISO is as high as it is until I noticed the exif in Flickr.

In LR I gave the NR slider a bit more than normal, other than that nothing really of note different.. just the usual sliders.

I do my final sharpening for bird images in PS, and the only differences here were I ran an NR filter before I ran the sharpening, and only two instead of three passes with the unsharp mask.

And so adjustments were global across the whole image, ie no local adjustment brushes used.

So yeah, very happy with the result.

I just wish I knew what you're talking about, I must get to grips with PP.

I actually once spoke with a person who frequently took pictures of artillery pieces. He said taking a photo where you can see the grenade leaving the barrel isn't too difficult.
Just aim the camera, half-press the shutter button and wait. The shock wave will make you press the button at the right moment.

Sorry but I think I must be missing something here, apart from timing the shot well, which is not hard at 14fps I can't actually find anything sharp on the image.

I think it's sharp. Not oversharpened, as somebody likes it, but in focus.
