Just a little info on post processing on the jpegs out of this sensor. The 1st is the original jpeg and the second is what I (a novice) could pull out of the jpeg image using gimp. The picture was a quick grab from my vehicle "on the fly".

Good work. The problem with JPGs in my experience is in recovering detail in blown-out highlights.

Sony RX10 IV, Canon 7D2, Canon 77D, assorted Canon lenses

Hey thanks Archi!!,
Don't get me wrong here, I know you can do much more with RAW files but the average shooter like me maybe would like to know if a little more than minor adjustments can be made to the jpeg to get your final product is why I did the gimp PP. Some jpegs you can't do much with but these out of this 1" sensor are pretty good and fun to play with.

SX10is, S90, d5100 (35mm1.8, 18-55mm, 55-200mm), d750 (28-300mm, 50mm 1.8, 35-70mm 2.8, 24-120mm f/4, 85mm 1.8G), EOS-M5 (EF-M 15-45mm, 18-150mm, EF 40mm 2.8), RX10mk4

Virtually all of the shots I've posted are Jpegs. I find I can get images I'm happy with from the camera without having to faff about with RAW files. ;)

Hey Gary, I love the 1st shot with the birds fighting, very sharp with lots of color and detail with super looking bokeh. Good job!! What software do you use for processing, if I may ask?

Thank you. I tend to use either photoshop elements or DXO photolab.

The woodpecker shot is amazing - looks like you were pretty close too. Having great sunlight to allow a fast shutter speed and low ISO is definitely a plus.

Very nice. Much cropping to the image?
