Mud, Dad and Junior Galah turned up in the hour before sunset last night, for a drink at our bird bath. Junior got a nice feed, so it seems he had the energy to be a little playful.:-)

I used the EOS R body with the Canon 100-400mm Mk II and I am definitely noticing some surprisingly sharp results at lowish shutter speeds when compared to my 5D Mk IV – maybe it just comes down to mirror slap, or the luck of "spray & pray" – I just don’t know??

Cheers

Dennis

Wonderful shots, Dennis. I especially like the first one.

These shots really exhibit some excellent feather detail and contrast, lending an almost 3D textural look. Definitely like what you all are showing with the EOS-R.

I love to be able to capture emotion....both in people and animals.

These two guys ran neck and neck for several hundred yards. Now....here they are feet from the finish, the horses are all out and you can really see the frustration of second place on this rider's face.

Not really a bird person, I think this was a grey Hawk but not sure.

Nice shots of that beauty. I kinda think it's an African Goshawk.

Yeah. Looks like a Pale Chanting Goshawk to me.
