The biggest downside to using this camera on this trip was me!! It was new to me and although I thought I had the hang of it when it came to using it in anger I was too slow to change settings so I quickly switched back to my trusty 1DX mk2.Having said that it is no match for the 1DX mk 2 when it comes to frame rate and tracking of the subject but at around 1/3 of the price you would not expect it to be. I am sure that when I am used to the camera it will be fine, for now it is a good back up. I also shoot landscapes and this will become my primary camera for that, I like the articulating screen and the live histogram in the viewfinder.

Live histogram in the VF sounds great. I remember suggesting that as a innovation when discussing viewfinder info a few years back on POTN, wonder if Canon read it. :-P

Thanks Bill, they were taking turns at the nest, so maybe an egg or two. They built the nest walls higher this year, when one of the eagles are in the nest you may not be able to see it.

Very nice shot Bill, I'm only seeing Chipping Sparrows here. Hopefully I'll get a few new species move in in the near future.

Final one is another wren. I never get sick of these guys as they are so colorful. Also hard to shoot as they like dense bush and never stay in one spot too long. So any shot I get thats not soft or doesnt have them either facing away or flying off half in half out of the frame is time to celebrate! :)
