The biggest downside to using this camera on this trip was me!! It was new to me and although I thought I had the hang of it when it came to using it in anger I was too slow to change settings so I quickly switched back to my trusty 1DX mk2.Having said that it is no match for the 1DX mk 2 when it comes to frame rate and tracking of the subject but at around 1/3 of the price you would not expect it to be. I am sure that when I am used to the camera it will be fine, for now it is a good back up. I also shoot landscapes and this will become my primary camera for that, I like the articulating screen and the live histogram in the viewfinder.
Live histogram in the VF sounds great. I remember suggesting that as a innovation when discussing viewfinder info a few years back on POTN, wonder if Canon read it.
