Final one is another wren. I never get sick of these guys as they are so colorful. Also hard to shoot as they like dense bush and never stay in one spot too long. So any shot I get thats not soft or has them either facing away or flying off partly in the frame is time to celebrate :)

That is a beautiful little bird and a top shot of it, nice one! :)

saw this Red Shafted Flicker yesterday but it was quite a ways away from me. one of those species that are very wary of humans and tend to stay away from us.

Thanks Bill, they were taking turns at the nest, so maybe an egg or two. They built the nest walls higher this year, when one of the eagles are in the nest you may not be able to see it.

Thanks Wallace, I had read that.

Very nice shot Bill, I'm only seeing Chipping Sparrows here. Hopefully I'll get a few new species move in in the near future.

Thanks, Wallace. This was at S. Llano River SP. I'm lucky to see a bird in the yard right now for some reason.

Now this Bluejay knows how to show off to advantage against the apricot background, unlike some other birds that have no sense of style whatsoever! ;-)a
