My old 7D's shutter gave out last weekend, luckily I was able to take advantage of some Black Friday sales and got a great deal on a refurbished 7D Mark II. This is one of the first shots with my new camera. This Lesser black-backed Gull was probably the only bird that I was able to get a shot of as everything else wouldn't come close enough.

Nice GIF (gull in flight)! You should consider yourself lucky the shutter of the 7D failed because you now have a 7D2.

On another thread they are discussing how many memory cards we need to take along on shoots. Memory cards can fail. It wouldn't help much, though, if you had a pocket full of cards and the shutter fails. A photographer's life is so complicated.

Sony RX10 IV, Canon 7D2, Canon 90D, assorted Canon lenses
C&C always welcome.

Nice shots of that beauty. I kinda think it's an African Goshawk.

Thanks, I couldn't hear what the guide had said. He wasn't that knowledgeable anyways. :)

I've rented this lens twice for cruises to Alaska. I'm so tempted to pick one up right now while prices are low...

This was with a 2x shooting in Live View on a 5D4 on a monopod.

I've noticed this before, but it seems that the focus in these pix have been 'softened' a bit when linked to this site.

Yeah. Looks like a Pale Chanting Goshawk to me.

Looking at a bunch of photos, of Pale Chanting Goshawks, I do believe you hit the mark.
