I will change topics after this one for a while...but this is my favorite shot of the trip...and probably my favorite shot of the year...and probably a top 5 Portfolio image for me. It was something I didn't have in my portfolio up until now. Now I want more.

Thanks, I think it is going to be the new center piece on the wall in the dining room once we finish the renovations...

I was watching a video from Sony ambassador, Mark Galer, on his top 10 Sony FE mount lenses. Surprisingly, he had the 70-200 f4 on his list but not the 70-200 GM f2.8. He chose the 35mm f2.8 over the f1.4.

intersting video, i notice he doesnt use any third party e mount lenses, i wonder if sigma or rokinon would make the list some day. funny he mentions having the f1.4 and f2.8 35mm and prefers the 2.8, i also got the 1.4 and 2.8 samyang 35mm and i also profer the 2.8, if i had nothing to compare the 2.8 to i would prob not have got the 1.4, the 2.8 is very very good

I have been considering that...I wish I had shot this on the A7R2...I would have loved to have the resolution for this one...

Awesome shot Travis

Charlie - I tried my micro SD card from the drone in my a7riii and it only works in slot 2. Its this card here - https://www.amazon.co.uk …_1345826031_t1_B06XYTN1VB (external link)

Im confused to why it doesnt work in slot 1. I know slot 1 is UHS-II and slot 2 is UHS-I for SD cards but my current SD card is UHS-I and works in slot 1. The micro SD card is UHS-I also but only works in slot 2.

One thing that I noticed instantly though is that when using it in slot 2 playback was instant whereas my card in slot 1 feels much slower and sometimes gives me the "writing to memory card - unable to operate" error. I only use 1 card in the cam but im now thinking I would be better off using a micro SD in slot 2 instead of my current card in slot 1 (Transpires my current card is only 45mb/s)

Edit - Read the manual and still none the wiser. The manual states that microSD cards can be used though

EDIT 2 - Bit of googling suggests its a Sandisk issue with certain batches. To be safe I just ordered this - https://www.amazon.co.uk …ro%2Bsd%2B64gb%2Bevo&th=1 (external link) Same as the Evo Select but half the price (exact same card but different branding. Amazon has sole rights on the "select" versions)

yep, I avoided sandisk even though they generally have very good cards.

I avoided them due to the compatibility issue, however if you have an issue with them, maybe a complaint will get you a free UHS-II version like gaabz? That would be totally awesome.

Eddy, I went though this very recently with a brand new Sandisk ExtremePro 128GB card, apparently it only is an issue with the new versions of the card, the older ones worked fine.

That would be good :) not sure I can be bothered with the hassle though :-P . Hopefully the Samsung card I ordered works without issue. It’s almost half the price of the equivalent SD card here so I’m defo up for switching to micro SD. Interestingly I didn’t notice any speed increase when reviewing images on my rx1rii when switching between my 45mb/s SD card and the 100mb/s micro. It seems like the hardware is the bottleneck on that generation. The speed was noticeably better on my a7riii

That would make sense as my Sandisk is brand new (ordered from DJI when I bought the drone)
