The whiteness on the water is foam from upstream rapids :-)

I understand but it's exceptionally white, a little too bright for my small brain to comprehend it. Your previously attached image shows the white parts of the water foam a bit darker. I'm sure I'm pretty clueless.:-)

Lol, you're probably right, maybe I took out a bit of warmth, I do remember the rocks being too warm for my liking :-)

Ian, it's all a matter of personal preference, though, I didn't want you to feel being put on the spot but I was just simply curious being a painter. Thank you again for your kind explanation,

No worries at all. I've had so many times when I've posted a finished picture only for someone to point out something obvious. It helps us improve our editing :-)

Thanks for understanding. It's nice to hear comments like yours. Not everyone here is as receptive as you are. Have a great evening, Ian.

This one was quite difficult as I was poised on a rock in the river in the dark, very close to the foreground and with an overhanging tree. It was quite unsettling.

I fired off a few test shots with my 7Dii at f/1.8 and decided that was enough so I stitched them together rather than do a 'proper' shot with my full frame.
