i haven't even had a great stretch of weather yet but this lens has definitely wowed me for the few outings i've gone out on so far.

......So as I'm shooting this guy, I'm telling myself....'this isn't going to work. The shadows are too deep and the sun is behind him and too bright.'

But, of course, I shot anyway. And the results turned out not too bad. Ended up with some really pretty light.

Check out the cob webs streaming from his feet.

We do have the fishing line problem a lot down here, but if you look at the picture above you can see he's clean. I've gotten shots like this before where they hop through spider webs in the rushes, yet subsequent pix show the birds are free of entanglements.

Human junk can be a real problem for these birds. In fact, for many animals.
