For sale - my nice heavy studio model tripod with a geared center column in a replaceable plate. I am moving to something smaller, lighter, carbon fiber and more portable - plus much more expensive.
This tripod is fantastic for studio work or landscapes where you are working close to your car - it is a big, heavy, solid platform suitable for large cameras like Speed Graphics, Hasselblads, Rolleiflex and view cameras.
Unleash your inner Ansel Adams with this big, sturdy tripod. This is the older version made in France - it probably dates to the 1970's when it was one of the best tripods available.
Specs for the tripod excluding the extra 15" height available with the center column.
Max height: 152cm
Min height: 45cm
Folded length: 71cm Weight: 2.78kg
Support: 10kg
The tripod, cross arm and padded case are available for $350.

Included is a Manfrotto cross arm which is used for mounting two cameras or other tethering accessories on a tripod. It can also be used to mount a camera to look straight down allowing you to use the tripod as a copying stand. I will sell the cross arm separately for $25

Also included is a very nice padded Pelican tripod case. I will sell the case separately for $40.

The interior of the Tripod case is 36" x 5" x 5". It was made by Pelican - I'm a sucker for Pelican cases.
It has three external pockets - two that are 8" x 4" x 1-1/2" and one that is about 13-1/2" x 4" x 1-1/2"
Its basically in new condition - I think I paid $85 for it but it might have been a little more.

That *does* sound good. Alas, not the right size for my new sticks.

That's a shame - its a nice case. Its about eight inches longer than it needs to be for this tripod but a tripod head would eat up some of that. I'm keeping my ball head to put on my new tripod.
Its very well padded.
Your new sticks must be pretty massive unless this is just too long - The Gitzo I've got stands almost seven feet tall at full extension.
