Was the modifier at a 45degree angle? I have some school photos I will be doing soon and I want to mimic that setup with possibly a reflector on the opposite side to fill in shadows a bit. Thanks!

Ok everyone so here is how this came to be.. My daughter sends me this when she was on the way home from work this past Friday

On Saturday morning around 2-3am i head to the place with my 550d with my fisheye and get some shots here is one

My son who lives in the area hits me on Saturday night up and asks me if I could take some shots of him.. We agreed for today (Sunday) at night.

Stuff
Canon R with various lenses. I used a 50mm f1.2L, my 135 f2.0L and for the hell of it i also used the Osawa 32-70mm Macro vintage lens i have been using with this camera.
1 Godox AD360II (key) with gridded box
my Canon 430exII (separation light) with blue gel and Godox X1R
Godox X1T on the camera to set them off..

Here is a BTS with me acting a dope stance as i take shots

Here are some results after my workflow

The last one is my favorite from the set love the motion blur.

Actually I wouldn’t say it was close to 45, I feel like it was almost closer to being completely side lit with just a slight angle out in front and toward her.

Boring gear shot exercises my next-generation scheme to create the alpha channel for tabletop subjects. Result first:

I find much amusement seeing all the light stands that become part of the behind the scenes in photo's. That's my new hunt to acquire more so that I can they can hold related gear for the shot. Good job!

I asked my son (14 yrs old) to sit in front of the camera, didn't expect he would agree, but to my surprised he did.
