Tried out the 150-600 in the day time. Computer crapped out so all editing is done through lightroom and elements mobile. Don't have any noise reduction options :(

Holy cow, Gene. That's a serious shot of the moon with your hallmark signature going bumpy over a crater? Where the heck is your flag, though? You need to design one shoot it to the moon...be it in PS or whatever but plant it there, please. :)

Oh heck, I put my flag on the moon some time ago. Here's a shot of it from Oct. of 2017. ;-)a

Although the lens is really good enough to get the closeup shots of the moon but still i think the telescope is way better and sharper, if the lens is better than i will ask myself why did i buy the telescope then.

I hope i can post of the moon shots in the future, but i am not only using telescopes for the moon, not sure i will use the lenses again for it.

I can finally post some new Moon shots. 2-3 weeks ago I got a new (new to me anyways) Kenko 2.0 Teleconverter. This time of the year good ole Indiana loves to stay mostly on the cloudy side. Today it gave me a clear sky to finally try my teleconverter and see how well it works on the Moon.

All of these are with my 150-500 lens at 500MM

This one is 500 + 1.4 (for comparison)

Now I know these cannot compare to those using telescopes... but for using two teleconverters, how did I do for my first try?

The last one should have been centered better I do see that now after the fact....

I think they all look excellent. I wish I could stack the Sony teleconverters.
