I actually got out for a brief shoot early Sunday morning. Between work and having a cold and some bad weather I haven't been out in weeks. It was slow but the birds are starting to congregrate at the rookery for the upcoming nesting season, a few are building already. Early birds!! All 5DIV plus 300 f2.8L plus TC2x

Here are a few that were interesting.

Tricolored heron, these are year round residents

This one was just begging for a funny caption (double crested cormorants in community nesting area)

Gray jay

Neat looking ball of feathers. It even has a head on top of all that fluff. :p Great looking shot, Dave.

Lovely shot! A perfect exposure with detail in both the blacks and whites and good colour.

Thanks Jack. The comment is very much appreciated. :-)
