Don’t get me wrong I love both bodies I’m currently shooting. I shoot a combination of portraits sports and wildlife. I’ve been shooting primarily my 5d4 for more of the portrait side and the 1DX for wildlife and sports. When shooting sports I’ll carry both bodies and shoot the 1DX primarily and the 5d4 will be setup with what I’d say is my second choice lens for the particular sport. This combo has been working well. Why the 1dxii you ask...well it’s not because I want to spray 14fps I typically will only shoot 3 frames on average. I’m not quite sure how to explain it but the 1dx to me just performs much better for action and how it renders in low light to me. The three frames I capture are closer together then the 5d4 capturing more of what I’m after during the movement cycle. The 1dx also seems to absorb light faster then the 5d4. For example when shooting hockey if shooing the same setting and same glass and a exposure comp. to maintain whites the comp on the 1dx is always less. So in a nut shell I want another DX body for my action. The movable spot meter also has my attention for my wildlife along with everything else the mark II has to offer.

Now all I have to do is get over my bout of man-flu
.
