It's just universal packaging, designed to be used in both hemispheres.

Ya'll have it wrong. Those are simply instructions to the shipping carrier.

Interpretation: "Lift package horizontally in front of you at shoulder height. Lift knee upwards. Crash horizontal package down hard on knee so as to cause both arrows to point in same direction."
