“Peaches” she is a Tortoiseshell/Tabby mix (“Torbie”)

I recently put up a bird feeder in my backyard. Bella absolutely loves when the crows stop by. She likes watching the other birds too, but she is obsessed with the crows.

What a great Christmas and rest of his life Rocky is going to have. So happy for you guys

This week marks 10 years since I brought these little clowns home in a tiny cardboard box from the Humane Society. Happy Anniversary Lenny and Carl! (As a side note, the horrible quality of this photo and the antics of two kittens are what got me to purchase my first "real" digital camera, a Canon 40D, which led to me taking up an interest many more photographic interests. I still however, love taking pictures of my boys!)

Thank you Jeff.

The saga continues in a good way, having received a handwritten letter from the previous owner, expressing her gratitude that we will care for and love the cat she had to leave behind with some irresponsible others. I do not think that she knew her cat would be in peril, when she had to move to a house that did not accept a second one of her two cats. Her letter revealed, she was heart broken at having to make that decision.

I have compiled a USB drive for her with some 300+ images of Rocky, and boy, there was a period of time where I was fuming about how this cat was out in the cold, wet, snow and the street, and I documented it because I was so upset. Now, the contrast of his past life to his new life, is stark.

Rocky continues to do well in our home and he has a new veterinary appointment next month. I sense that he will run up some significant bills.

Birder feeder=cat TV !!

Milo, the big cat we have was had from a cattery.
This little guy, Rollo (who we call Squid) was saved from the gas chamber.
He, like Milo, are constant traveling companions and this shot found him on the bed
in the campervan-

I would like to thank the forum members that "liked" the post about a cat named Rocky moving away, or found something supportive to say.
My spouse Mary & I felt like Brooks Hatlen in the film The Shawshank Redemption, waiting for his bird Jake to return.
We kept going to our windows throughout the days and nights, looking for a sighting of an absent Rocky. It was just awful.

I wish to keep this post about photography but I also am compelled to report that at perhaps 8:00 PM Saturday night, a resident of the house that abuts mine was at my door, with Rocky in his arms. He came to basically surrender the cat and offer him for adoption (they had quarantined him inside, apparently). My spouse & I discussed this with the person offering the cat and adoption forms were printed and signed by all. Later, I covered my bases by providing our local police department with copies of everything, as that they have been involved with this cat and on many more occasions, with these abutters.

Rocky had a rough first night and was hissing at and scratching me, but one day later he was back to being the lovable cat that we knew, and is now going to live the rest of his life as a pampered member of a "forever family". Boy, can he eat and sleep!!

Thank you so much for the update! Loved the happy ending and the photos! Beautiful cat! And so smart of you to print out adoption papers & notify the police. You have covered your bases well and Rocky will have a wonderful life as an indoor cat! Congratulations!
