I like this shot..... and I know you didn't ask for any critique..... but I think it has more impact if you loose about 20% of the sky. Brings the eye back to the subject. But I do love the shot... a local making its way across winter/fall fields. Good stuff.

No worries at all, I am always willing to listen to tips and suggestions. I often crop my train shots to 16:9 and that probably would have worked on this shot as well.

I was able to get out to BNSF Needles subdivision on Saturday (12/22/18), and I thought I'd share a couple shots.

One from Danby

Tracked this train over a couple of bridges. Hills, bridges, tunnels- this rail road reminded me of a model set.

Interesting landscape, marvelous structures.
Similar design. Wonder why first 3 arches closed in with a smaller one at ground.
There's some detail to browse.

In the second image? I'm not sure, but I think that is a "half-bridge" on a hill side, rather than crossing a valley. I'm wondering if the small arch at ground isn't a tunnel trough the hill.

That train line has a ton of bridges:

Approaching Kirby Stephen with it's last fare paying excursion of this year "Flying Scotsman" heads North on the famous Settle to Carlisle line.

Thanks.
I'd missed your other photo thread.
All fascinating.
In terrain like that I could imagine the bridge/ tunnel would be par for the course.
