They say the same thing about my 1Dx2 and my use for weddings

Its a sports camera.

It’s one of my fav things to do... shoot what they say we can’t lol

I’m really enjoying shooting the R..

Maybe it isn’t supposed to be good for birds in flight... or maybe I should just try to fill the frame more.

Lol. Personally I don’t think the camera gets to decide what I shoot. And it’s up to me to get what I want out the the tech.

Can you guys believe i have not tried any of the fancier focus features like face detect and eye detect.. I am still using center focus and recomposing.. Lol

Likewise here, for the more part.

I just set my screen last night for the first time for touch focus. At first I though upper right would be the zone, but found the lower right seems more comfortable for my handhold. This weekend I'm headed to the redwoods and probably will stick with the center or manual focus. But New Year's day I've got a practice shoot scheduled with a woman who was the first to model for me over 5 years ago. And I will probably try to shoot half the session or more using the screen's lower right zone. But honestly, I'm going light on features too, and simply enjoy the comfort of shooting this camera. The EOS R is such a good size and works to get really nice photos.
