Searching my files for a bird photo to use as a Christmas card this year, I found this from 2010. I know it is a "Summer" Tanager, but the red and green colors looked like Christmas to me. Here's wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2019. I enjoy looking at your wonderful images, Thanks,

Iguana-it's what's for dinner. Actually it was how I spent Christmas morning, with the hawks and snail kites. This guy is trying to keep the iguana population in check. This bird was pretty far away, having good cropping ability was helpful. A good lens and a 5DIV.

Bigger, close to pigeon size but more compactly proportioned.

Thanks, OL.

Sometimes quail are eaten as a delicacy.

Yeah, I know.:-( I'm not a vegetarian, but there are a few things I won't eat and quail is one of them.

It was a stellar morning at Arthur Marshall Lox NWR. First the RSH eating an iguana, and these two.
