Looks like a great lens for the money. I stumbled upon a review for this lens by Dustin Abbott, and it seems that for portraits, this lens may be plenty without spending hundreds more. For outdoors, I see what Abbott means about the bokeh, but for studio shooting that's barely a factor. But even the outdoor photos in this thread are pretty nice.

Yea, it's great for the price. It's my go-to indoor studio lens for full body shots when I can't physically back-up because of space constraints. The barrel distortion is not bad at all.
