Looking forward to another year of hunting in 2019 -- PLEASE JOIN US!

Each month we pick five topics and then spend the month photographing those topics.
Participants volunteer to select the topics for each month and they will be added to this post for reference.
If no one volunteers to select topics I'll message active Hunters and ask them to name the topics.
Lacking volunteers I will pick the topics for the month.
Each month you will post five photos representing your interpretation of the topic.
The hunt is open to all regardless of camera used.

Scavenger Hunt IV -- 2018 information and posts can be found HERE.

Don, I just want to understand the idea correctly: is it OK to interpret each topic according to how "my brain" perceives it? Or are we talking literal interpretation of each topic?

My understanding is that the photos must be taken during the month of the topics, so we can't start taking photos for the January topics until January 1st, 2019 -- is this correct?

Renata, as "your brain" interprets the topic is perfectly fine.

Marci, that is correct. Photos are to be taken between Jan 1-31.

Thank you Don for being so accommodating, Don...my brain has different wiring, so please don't be surprised

Stina, new contributors would be nice, indeed.
Question is how do we get more?

You're just too kind, Stina.
I hot that others will find this thread, indeed.
I think that adding our images to the gallery may help.

Hope you all had an enjoyable New Year's Eve and are resting today.
I had to get out and shoot, not far, just into my backyard. One of January's themes is 50, so I grabbed the 50 mm lens and shot this filigree of a dead hydrangea flower.
I hope this counts
