I'm looking for recommendations for a wireless remote for my Canon 5D mk iii. I currently have the standard canon IR remote release. I use it mainly for group photos and sometimes for bulb exposures. But, I need something with a longer range (50'+) and that will work at a wider range of angles/positions. If it has an intervalometer too that would be nice. But if that adds a lot of cost, I can live without that capability.

Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

I have this one - Hahnel Captur Remote. Totally satisfied with it. It was a present so I haven't had a chance to pick it myself, but the features are quite impressive.

This Pixel wireless remote is only about $20 and works just fine.

Unlike some other brands, it uses AAA batteries instead of some other hard to find batteries.

Thanks for the responses. I actually ended up going with a Pixel model that has a few more features. It works great. The AAA battery type is definitely a big plus.

Answering my own question ....... bb focusing needs to be disabled and 1/2 press focus on. Doesn't make sense or why it matters, but it does.

I use the Vello which looks just like the Pixel model above.
