Just got back from a cruise with the Mrs. Since the kids didn't go with us we decided to go see the Tulum ruins in Mexico, something the kids would never do.... Well I'm glad I went but I'm not sure I would go again. Check off on the bucket list.

I’ve got a pair of Mammutt boots with memory foam inners. Incredibly comfy and I have used them for 5-10 mile walks and full days out

I like Merrell, Salomon and Arcteryx. Mostly because they fit me perfectly. I would recommend going to a place like REI where you can return if necessary. I don't recommend Lowa's because they fit weird. REI's return racks are full of them. I was also looking at the Salmon QUEST 4D 3 GTX. I was about to recommend Solomon quest 4D 3 GTX to you after I read your first post! I use a La Sportiva 3 season boot but it’s rigid as it takes a crampon. However I’ve used that Solomon boot previously as a summer boot. It’s superlightweight and you don’t notice any weight on your feet. Reasonably waterproof too (in relation to Scottish rain which really challenges boots!) Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

I only have a cheapish pair in all honesty - £50 or so I think - but I can wear them all day, 7-8 miles no problem.

Thanks Eddie. Good to hear! Alfredo, I’m now confused. I double checked online and I’m now thinking it was the Solomon cosmic gtx boot I had, not the quest. I had the sort of kiwi green colour of them and I can’t see the quests in that colour. I was recently considering the quest gtx as a new boot though and I think that’s where my confusion has come from. Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

This would be my suggestion as well, they are such personal things...I have wide feet so I have trouble finding boots that fit and don't hurt my feet. I have a pair of high top boots from The North Face now that have been good to me on long hikes and short hikes. I needed the extra support a high top provides. Website

My sensor is dirty beyond capability of built-in cleaner and rocket blower. So far it did't bother me until I shoot some landscapes at F11 and beyond. I hate to clone stamp 20+ dust spots. I bought the whole kit of parts recommended by Brian Smith. I clean mine a couple times a year...only 20 spots! That's not bad at all! Website
