Roses on my table and the dinner table itself on Christmas Eve.
That's it for the moment.
I'm pretty sick and will have to rest some but have to go to a HIndu wedding on Friday where Nifty will shoot some pictures.

Thank you, Kevin. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well. Just got back from the doctor's: a cortisone shot and heavy duty antibiotics! Really don't like that stuff but with bronchitis, there is no other way

Thank you Joayne. Same to you, my dear.

Here is another shot I managed to process last night; I saw a similar image in another thread and I hope that the guy who posted it is not going to kill me :)

Slowly getting better and managed to cook some nice dishes but not fit enough yet to venture out; hopefully soon.
Home-made baba ganoush and balela, one of my favorite salads.
Happy New Year to all of you!

Morocccan chicken tagine with preserved lemons and olives, all home made and a lovely orchid from a special friend who visited to cheer up the sick photographer :)

I know, I've been bugging you with some food shots but that's all I could do at the moment.

Well, here it is, our Moroccan feast, completely made from scratch. While the roast was in the oven I managed to drag out one of my background boards that I used to use while writing a food blog...no longer.
So here it is.
From top clockwise: Balela, green and black Moroccan olives, dolmas (not really Moroccan, but what the heck) pita bread, preserved lemons (don't eat them like that, I use them in that chicken tagine in the center, cucumber and mint yogurt dip, baba ganoush.

Second image is the pork tenderloin roast Moroccan style.

Nifty went on a short trip on New Year's Eve...not too far, just around the corner to photograph the local creek, birds etc. The light was beautiful and glowing as it was to be expected from the so called golden hour.
Not much to describe here, just some shots of whatever caught my eye.

As I strolled along the banks of the creek I noticed the dry plants which I found very appealing.
