I sat there for a few minutes waiting for the light to glow even more trying to figure out how to capture the silky smooth water without a tripod and an ND filter. Well, I rested my camera on the stone wall, exposed a few times and blended in PS to get the glowing complementary colors.
Farther down the other leg of the creek that is tiny and narrow but floods rather prolifically I saw the flooded banks that were laced with nicely aligned rocks and plants. The flood waters have done a nice job of aligning things in a fish scale pattern.

More of the small creek ; by now the golden glow was no longer there.
This part of the creek is perhaps 2-3 ft wide but has a large flood plain area that traps all that garbage that people throw into it up the stream!

The other day Nifty ventured out to a small town in West Texas. I had a live wedding painting and really wanted to have plenty of time to shoot some interesting places along the way.
My first stop was a ghost town of Turber, TX
I didn't explore everything that ghost town has to offer but still managed to shoot some interesting places.
I stopped for lunch at a restaurant called The SmokeStack Restaurant. Here is a panorama of 10 images and another vertical panorama of the smoke stack in 6 shots.
