I asked myself : "why does he park and remain there ? Why at this very place where the full sunlight and shadows of trees merge ?
Is it the result of chance ? Or does he use this peculiarity to camouflage and hide himself from others, especially from predators ?"
However I did not notice the zebra in front of me at first glance so I made the photo to document the event in case he did so with intend...

Beside wild animals in captivity, there are common ones which are photogenic too...

...and worth finding the time for a photo-souvenir,

Oooups ! Pardon me. I am sorry, I didn't notice the mention "bird photos don't belong in wildlife" until now. Won't post these again.

While the general public waited and hoped that he would come out in the open and in broad daylight,
the jaguar in his lair was the opportunity to practice dramatic photography in chiaroscuro, mixing harsh light and dense to very dense shadows.

At the opposite, the deer resting under the cover of a tree offered the opportunity
to capture the usual soft and cozy atmosphere of a scene photographed in open shade,

Sometime, it happens it's appropriate not to blurr the background and not to put it out of focus,
in order to collect an odd picture when final observers do ignore the true context of its making.

The ambient natural light falling on the scene was quite inappropriate and not manageable with sucess but it was for the souvenir and for the fun.

One of the zoo's I go to has the lions overlooking the zebra paddock etc, keeps everyone on their toes (pads/hoofs).
