been off p.o.t.n for a while due to chopping and changing gear , but recently gone back to Nikon with a old d300s a camera I used to love and sorry I got rid of at the time , didn't really intend to do much with it but last week a chance pop in to a local retailer that's closing down saw me acquire a BNIB sigma 150-600C for half the u.k retail price , now registerd with sigma u.k and got the 3 year warranty to ..so well happy . this is one of its first shots from last week with it , a merlin bird of prey perched atop a tree

a male chaffinch from mid week in deep cover . really liking this lens , giving far better results than my previous sport version

Hi All..

As u can see my profile.. iam totally new to both Photography and Forum. But got Gears alot to practice n have fun.

Recent addition is this lens. But looking at photos here I was like WOW. I recieved a copy today from amazon and iam not getting sharp pics like here. I know iam new but not so new to focusing well which I did not find while taking.

How should I know if sharpness n focusing issue is there ?? Some pointing a sigma dock. I have never use it b4 for any lens. Should I have to buy it too? Canon 7dm2 has microadjust too.can some point me the settings for it if my lens has issues .?

Pl suggest ..what should be done to get as sharp... I dont do much in manual.. Either AV or TV mode with ISO mostly on Auto incase I miss out on clear pics rather than dark ones
