Another Crimson Rosella from last week up at Falls Creek ( Australias Alpine Region). The fact their coloring is in the strong red range always makes it hard to color correct to get the right red of these birds as red seems to always register a different intensity than the other primary colors . I think I may need to start checking the red channel histogram more often or alternatively start using my old spyder color checker again to ensure zI have a reference base to get the damn reds back to in post. That would be heaps better I think than the current way Im doing it which is trying to match the proper red of the bird by eye in lightroom.
