Out of curiosity, how would warranty affect it since you damaged it and it wasn't manufacturer fault?

Sometimes manufacturers can be lenient and do that sort of repair and be it on warranty. It's happened to me with some product, escapes me right now.

Here they are quite strict and usually would only repair if they miss the fact that it is the users fault.

Yeah it sucks but it comes with the territory in this hobby I guess.

I think the 24 GM is a good fit too. Not a huge priority....probably going to wait for inventory levels to stabilize and snag one when the prices come down a bit.

Carlo, are you a member of Sony's Pro Support? If so, was the price you mentioned including any kind of pro discount? Just curious.

It probably wouldn't have once the service techs take the camera apart and figure out what happened

Just got back from a visit to Portugal over the holidays, haven't been there during the winter months in years. This is from a town called Aveiro that has a series of canals running throught it. I used the 16-35 GM quite a bit during the visit, more so than I would have thought given that I primarily shoot with primes most of the time.

In the area where my partner if from daytime temperatures hover around the 15-17 degrees celsius, around the mid 60s fahrenheit but it's usually sunny so it feels alot warmer than that.

I've done that a couple times already. Eventually figured out that if you connect a smartphone you don't need an SD card. It'll store the videos to your device

the small one of the tree is no where near a window...not sure about the bigger version...the other two were the same client, and they were both in their office, that does not get direct sunlight...the print lab is as confused about it as I am...I am beyond embarrassed...

the discolored pieces are all metal prints, so no glass involved...I don't know how they print them...the good thing is, I am confident that they will be replaced at no charge to me or my clients...

I know you’ll get it sorted out. Where did you get the metal prints done? I have one from BayPhoto and have had no issues.

By the way, I rented the 100-400 and ordered the Really Right Stuff foot adapter. I have a feeling I’m going to love the lens so I may just keep the adapter and save up for the lens.

Twin Trees

I have another variation that shows the reflection of the trees better but I do like this wider version. I framed that oak tree in between these dead trees to juxtapose what is is living and what is not.

Hmmmmm, this looks dark on my iPhone X. Not sure if I should open up the shadows more or not. The reflection of the trees get kind of lost.
