Finally got to shoot some of my daughter's basketball game...I have been helping out on the sidelines, and that has taken too much attention to be able to shoot, but the season is nearly over, and I had to shoot at least one game. Happy to report that it seems that Slot 1 is working again...don't ask me why...I don't know.

3 Kids fully off the ground...

Man the lighting in our gym is awful...I could not get a shutter speed to sync with the high bay lights...no matter what shutter speed I used...I got banding from cycle times...it did it on mechanical and silent shutter too...

Really cool. Especially that overhead shot.

You're making me want a drone

Thank you Carlo. They are fun but anxiety inducing when flying.

i used to love red robin but after the last two visits I was not impressed anymore. my go to was usually the banzai and the whiskey chicken.

Carlos mentioned five guys. I do like five guys as well. it depends how the person makes it. sometimes I have it really good. sometimes it's not as good.

Here in Boise we have several old school drive through/walk up places. They are not chain restaurants and have been around for quite some time. They are fun to go to (especially during the nicer months) and make some really great burgers! Kinda nostalgic.

Since we moved to upper NJ and near the border of NY, we have a few more options for burgers including a small chain called MOOYAH burgers and fries. Pretty tasty with good shakes for the girls. I miss the In-And-Out and Carl’s Jr. that I used to go to back from the west coast.

I like the idea of the "3 shot story".

We had Sam's B-Day up at the local ski area yesterday. The kids did some tubing before skiing (not all of them are skiers).

The story would have been better if I had a shot of them singing and cutting the cake but oh well....

Interesting.....My Flickr says my "uploads are locked" but I can still upload no problem and no old photos fall off. I'm kinda lost with what's going on. I don't really care about Flickr too much it's just an easy way to share here on POTN.

I haven't logged back in under my primary account in a week or so, but I think that they had extended their deadline on 15% off Pro, yadda yadda. With that, the reports that activity is down in general and your report of being able to still upload, it makes me wonder if they're not seeing the subscriptions roll in like they'd hoped and if they're waffling in their resolve.

Is that one of the original McDonald's restaurants?

I watched Founder a couple of months back....really interesting backstory behind McDonald's

From "Eater" website, "This McDonald's, on the corner of Lakewood Blvd. and Florence Ave. in Downey, was opened in 1953 by Roger Williams and Bud Landon. It was the third restaurant franchised by Richard and Maurice McDonald, who founded the chain in 1948." "It was able to maintain its original look and feel because it wasn't licensed through Ray Kroc, who purchased the McDonald's franchise in 1961."

Ah rats. It's a really great photo...love how you can see the shift in the weather as your eyes pan across the frame.

It's always a bummer when a little technical niggles like cutting part of the rainbow off are there...but great photo and scene nonetheless.

Thanks. Yep, fast changing conditions and poor eyesight can be a frustrating experience. At least I hadn't driven 100 miles in the hope of catching the image. :-)

Do many of you buy the Godox X1T_S for the red AF grid? It's ridiculously cheap and appears to be functional. This will at least reduce my annoyance of focus hunt in extremely low contrast situations.

3 shot story

Meeting Thomas the Train. Carson's a really cerebral kid. Introverted and experiences things inside his head. It's a stark contrast to his very extroverted siblings.

Ah ok that makes sense.

If you get a chance, check out the movie founder. Gives a nice backstory of the history of McDonald's...after having watched that movie, I actually see how that particular McDonald's shop is able to get away from the corporate McDonald's branding. There basically wasn't a consistent brand under the original brothers...the McDonald's machine we know now was engineered by Ray Kroc, and that guy is a sleezeball lol.
