The Batis is slightly sharper in the corner than the 16-35 GM.

---------------

Surprisingly, I haven't shot this section of the San Antonio River. This is behind the new Witte Museum during some beautiful morning light.

Beautiful! You have such elegant trees in your area. So much character.

Thank you David! That we do. The cypress trees along the Guadalupe, Frio, and San Marcos rivers are also beautiful in the spring and fall.

I just had a few of my photos selected to be printed in the American Student Dental Association magazine! I'll make sure to post a link when the March edition gets put online. Pretty cool!

Congrats!! 8-)

I too have a photo that is being published in an upcoming book; a National Geographic publication! I think it’s shipping next month if I recall correctly. The book title is 100 Dives of a Lifetime. Unfortunately it was an older photo taken with my 5D III and a TS-E 24 II in Charleston, SC. Still, pretty exciting getting in a National Geographic publication. :)

EDIT: Just peeked on Amazon and it’s showing a Feb. 26 release day. I’m thoroughly mystified as to how my photo will fit into that book.

at the conclusion part, he mentioned the f4 with 100x100 filter.

I recently notice that the 100x100 on the 16-35 gm will have a problem. Filter is too small and will have cut corners. I'll show an example later tonight. (no promise... :P)

nothing fancy. just a quickie. first pic I attempted to try and get the best, 2nd is to show when rotating the filter kit. using lee foundation kit.

I’ve shot an 82mm filter lens in the past with 100x100 lee filters and it’s fine. You need to use a wide angle adapter ring

My Manfrotto ball head is still going quite strong but I'm not thinking it's maybe easier to get a Sirui ballhead which are Arca Swiss compatible then get the L bracket which I was looking at before ߘ

I’ve avoided manfrotto over the years for that reason and just stick to arca compatibile

oh, BTW...is anyone else not seeing all the usual EXIF data on FLICKR anymore? it used to show up right there under the image...now all I see is the camera body...

Same for me. Just camera body now and no lens or exposure info! WTF?!

not a setup. just the kit. and it is a wide angle adapter :P

I can take a pic of it attached tomorrow. i'm about to call it a night. but it was pretty much attached to the lens without any filters.

That’s strange. When I shot the canon tse24ii it was 82mm and I couldn’t make it do that

sorry I should mention that this is at the wide end (16mm) :p

zooming in would not have the problem.

I believe it's still considered the Inland Empire. I live in Riverside County about 30 miles (as the crow flies) south-east of the city of Riverside.

I was born in Huntington Park and lived in Compton and Maywood but I spent most of my growing up years in Bell Gardens. My dad was born in Compton in 1910.
