QUOTED IMAGE

Sensational Northern Flickers capture! Tough customers to photograph, and you knocked it out of the park!

WRONG! But she will notice the 1.4III however hard you try to disguise it!
I have never managed to get away with it yet, well, hardly ever!
Good luck on the 1.4xIII, mine has become an almost permanent fixture with the 100-400L II.

My wife is nuts this way... I have to be very careful what I say... If I like aloud a curtain lens... behind my back she will order it in.... Regardless of whether or not we eat the next 4 months...

I tried the "shuffling" thing for a while. She HATES when I buy and sell gear. She's sure I'm losing money every time. So I just stopped asking and telling. I just never say anything and things just come and go.

mission accomplished. keep it on the down low! lol.

My pledge of No GAS: 27 days since my last actual gear purchase :) Going strong, feeling great!

The caveat is that I haven’t received my 600 III yet, but I placed the preorder for that back in October, so technically that GAS occurrd in 2018. My 5D4: placed For Sale on Dec 31, just before the clock struck midnight on the New Year :D aka, no new sales or purchases so far in the new year!

Never thought you would sell your 5D4 Matt.

Canon R6 II, RF 800mm.
I like what I like.

I never did either, Derek, but with the perfect storm of 1DXII + EOS-R, my 5D4 was the odd man out :-( I'm fortunate at this point that I can afford to have more specialized bodies, but honestly if I had to go down to owning just one body, without question it'd be a 5D4.

Pre eclipse capture of the wolf moon. Manually focusing in live view was a joy due to the silky smooth focus ring, especially compared to my Siggy 150-600C, which is much tighter. My one dislike with this lens is the lack of a traditional zoom lock.

Thank you, I'm pleased with a few shots from this weekend, finally a bit of sunlight and a few different kind of birds. Although it made the exposure difficult with the dark shadows and white and black parts of the birds(almost feel like a wedding shooter :p ).

Interesting to see the slightly different angles as seen from the UK and the US.
