The story was that I got home late from work, realized the weather might work out, maybe, if it stopped snowing. At 1 minute before the eclipse began, the clouds parted and the snow stopped. It was 31 degrees. I stayed up all night going out and shooting a couple of quick bursts handheld, hoping against hope it would work. It got much colder during the wee hours of the night.
I knew that story sounded familiar, then I realized you're also on DGrin, and I heard it there after that last eclipse!

Total lunar eclipse, Jan 20-21, 2019, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. -20C, -32C windchill. Not sure if that's the wind, my cold fingers, or the dimness at totality, I had trouble getting focus with liveview.
Frost on tripod after it's brought back to the houesd ... dark mark was a smudge my finger made by melting the frost.

No total lunar eclipse for us in Australia, but there was still a nice Full Moon rise this evening. Here's the view from a partly cloudy Brisbane:IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/23Jhhci Perigee Full Moon over Brisbane by Stephen Mudge, on Flickr
Blood moon from Denver CO. Can't complain about conditions as mountain wave clouds dissipated prior to the eclipse beginning and temps in the low 30's.
