Another first, a Cactus Wren (well I hope it is a Cactus Wren), it looks like a wren eh, and every time I saw one on
the trip it was either on or very close to a cactus ;)

Seriously nice shot, Robert. Amazing how those cactus wrens can avoid the thorns when they're moving so quickly over them.

That's a stunning close-up. I'd love to see one of these for real.

Outstanding shot, Shalu. The sharpness is really nice.
I can't believe that I missed this entire page of great images. I'm getting careless...it comes with old age.

This lazy Peregrine Falcon I watched sitting in the tree for 90 minutes hoping for it to take flight so I could get a launch shot. I went back to my car had a cup of tea and a biscuit came back and he was still in the same place. I waited for another 30 minutes, still no movement. I then went off for an hour to see if I could find more birds then had another cup of tea. Checked out the falcon still there. After 4 hours I gave up, the bird had more patience than me so I went home and had tea.
