2 from the weekend. First is a backlit Bald Eagle, Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada. The blue background is actually snow in the shade.

Also, Eastern Coyote at sunset, Grand Pré, Nova Scotia.

Those are both extraordinary images. I love the eagle shot; it's really amazing. The coyote's eyes give it an almost evil look, and the composition of the photo is really nice.

Went to Whitewater Draw in McNeal, Az. to visit the Sandhill Cranes. The skies were kinda crowded.

Sunrise at the beach. Martinique, Nova Scotia, Jan 26th. Note the rock that looks like a half-buried sperm whale.

This was my first attempt at portraits with an off camera flash. I usually just use available light and/or a diffused speedlight mounted on the camera. Also, first time using a backdrop (should have ironed/steamed it beforehand). Constructive citicism is welcome.

That's a great age to start with the Strider!

A big critique would be why black? It's such a dark background for a fun subject.

Although I don't do a lot of portrait work (although would like to expand to doing some in that area), I did this photo of my daughter today, for a project she is working on.

Photo taken at Violet Andrews Park, in Portland, TX.

No real reason; it’s just what I had on hand. It was more of a spontaneous, cold day activity than a planned shoot. I do agree that something lighter would fit the subject better.

Thanks
