Thats is exactly what i do. i dont shoot auto anything it just randomly sets itself. I just went to check firmware updates on Godox site and there is quite a few things for me to update. My X1T is on V.14 and the version available in the site is V.25, My X1R is on V.14 and in the site is V.18. Both my ad360II are on V2.6 and so on.. i think its its time for me to do some firmware updates, may be it will help.

Has anyone managed to freelens with the R yet?

I can't seem to work out how to fire the shutter without a lens attached? (If it's possible)

It is there is a I was probably the first to ask here but no longer remember where it is after a member told me. Its been a while. Check the early posts in this thread or maybe someone help..

To my knowledge I had the camera in all manual and I also disabled the Mf.n bar thinking it was that since I have it set to a just iso but I'll check again. I never use any auto settings on anything besides auto focus.

What I meant by "all manual" is not even letting the camera know that the flash is there, to reduce the potential for error or variation.

The EOS R knows when anything powered on is in the hotshoe. Unfortunately. I wish I could use the WYSIWYG benefit of the EVF, while using OCF. I'd like to be able to disable the 'auto exposure' of the EVF preview, when something is in the hotshoe.

You should work out of a home office like I do... which creates its own set of problems like being there when the lenses come.

I’m not one to stare at clouds too often, but noticed cool circular hole in yesterday’s cloud cover while taking plane pictures.

Alright everyone I'm caving for the grip. I can't stand this camera not being without a grip. It's just so uncomfortable for me being used to all my dslrs having a grip. It just feels better in my hands. looking for the best price I'm out browsing if you have any suggestions lmk
