Help me decide guys please

Is it worth to pay the extra for the 24-70 f2.8 Sigma ART than the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 non ART?

Then there's Tamron 28 - 75 f2.8 which is relatively cheap too.

What i'm after is a versatile lens, all purpose lens for taking pictures of food, kids, and perhaps landscape?

I understand that i need that extra budget (MC-11 Adapter) for the Sigma.

Get the Tamron. The 24-70 F/2.8 ART is the worst ART sigma made :( That's why I'm still using my Canon version.

I'm going to echo what the others have said, get the Tamron. It is an amazing lens.

I'm in the same situation.

I've looked at articles and videos comparing the two. One thing that annoyed me are the "onion-rings" in the Tamron bokeh. Sigma had a slight (very slight) magenta cast and maybe a little softer at the edges when zoomed out at 24mm. Can any of you attest to this?

I got my entire Canon rig stolen this summer... lost L series glass... (still emotionally recuperating) but am looking for the smooth bokeh and color saturation in the Canon lenses without paying an arm and a leg. Also moving to Sony.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers,

Andrew K
