This one works well even though it 'breaks the rule' of having the horizon split the image in the center.
Sometimes I think it is ok to center a horizon, when you have good interest in the foreground and in this case the sky, it really calls for it. Good to hear that you feel the same, thanks!
Only if you fell like you need to...I just like to frame it up the way it looks best to me...
I think this is about right. Too low and you're shooting across the mud and forwards. This angle, with the wide angle in vertical, makes you feel you're looking down at your feet

It is a fine line between too low and not low enough, if you get lower you start to see the undulations and turned up edges more, and that can be very appealing, it also reduces the amount of foreground, this slightly higher point means that here is actually a mid ground that gets a little bit featureless and loses the eye a bit...
