Nice! So you unsed the extension tube and the 1.4x and 2x stacked? What order were they in?

I updated the Godox X1T-C from v.14 to v.25 and was testing to see if i could get another random auto ISO change. Didn't get any this time but its too early to tell. Im going to try and work another shoot this weekend and while i was at it i was experimenting with gels, my SP500 and two of my anime collectibles

Camera - RF to EF adapter - 1.4x TC - 12mm ext tube - 2x TC - Lens

The 12mm tube needs to go on the back of the 2x TC, it won’t fit on the front, the protruding element is to wide to enter the tube.

I'm confused, you say you use all manual settings but now say the issues were only when using auto ISO... Just trying to get a better idea of your issue and this post confused me. I know there are issues with the new system and using non canon brand items- just trying to figure out different uses and issues. I work in a camera store so I'm partially doing research but also own the R so some is personal interest.

Correct I use all manual, nothing auto.. The so called bug makes the camera jump in to auto iso on its own. It happened to me a few times the other night even while disabling the Mf.n bar where I have the iso set. After some information was shared here I went in to the menus and set the auto iso max limit to the lowest possible (200). This is just in case the camera again decides to jump to auto iso on its own I can still use the files. So far the people I know that had this same issue were also using some sort of third party trigger to set their strobes off.

Quick unedited iPhone shot. Got a mic and some video lights and a mic boom to start making some video FAQ's for the business. I plan to keep the mic on the boom for the videos, but just stuck it on the camera to check it out. Time for my crash course in video production. I'm sure I can handle 1 minute long clips of a person in a chair talking. :)

Ok that makes sense, hopefully it can be fixed via firmware.

Airbus A380 at approx. 10,000 ft with the EOS R / EF-RF Adapter / Extender x1.4 III / Extender x2.0 II / Canon EF 400mm F5.6 L USM.

Effective fl of 1120mm at F16 with no problems auto focusing.

The deleterious effects of atmospheric turbulence can be seen due to the altitude and distance of the A380.

Cheers

I have used the following set up which did not require any extension tubes and the focus range of the 400mm F5.6 was its full extent - nothing lost.

EOS R / EF-RF Adapter / Extender x1.4 III / Extender x2.0 II / Canon EF 400mm F5.6 L USM.

Note that the x2 is the Mk II and the x1.4 is the Mk III in my set up.

Cheers

Dennis

CANON RUMORS just added another topic today about an EOS R type camera with DUAL CARD slots.

https://www.canonrumors.com …eries-body-mentioned-cr2/ (external link)

I added an edit to the Canon RP topic I started that's in the rumors section, because the latest article apparently refers to an extra model other than the RP

My daughter needed headshots for an upcoming school function, so it gave me another opportunity to try out the R. Absolutely loving this camera for portraits.

A little 28-70 action. The high here was about 4F today, so I was stuck indoors. Not many subjects.
