This Eastern Water Dragon was soaking up the late evening Sun and didn't want to move from its warm spot on the pavement in the Roma Street Parklands. :-)

Had the chance to catch the Rose Parade in Pasadena this morning. I was standing streetside at Holliston Ave and Colorado Blvd, just to the west of Pasadena City College. It was pretty crowded, so all shots were done reporter-style, holding the camera high above my head and shooting in the general direction and hoping the shot was in focus.

First time shooting a parade - next time, I'll bring a 16-35mm. 24mm was not wide enough most of the time.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.
