Gorgeous pansies are in bloom here in South Texas. One of the many benefits of living this far south, we have a wide array of flora and other plants that can be grown throughout the year!

Excellent shots Stephen, I do not know why but my my Canon 100L will not work with my 25mm extension tube, it just wont focus.

It should work, try it with lots of light and nearby opjects. How is your camera set to lens drive when AF impossible? If off then try on, it may be to much out of focus to start with.

Not precisely sure what kind of insect this is, but I found a few of them on a bush in my yard this morning. Probably some kind of invasive species of insect..

Anyhow, it was colorful, and thought it made for an interesting macro shot!

If anyone has an insight to as what exactly it is, I would be interested to know!

Thanks! Your 100L and 25mm extension tube should work together... just make sure that you are working within a few cm of the minimum focussing distance, because it won't focus beyond that. I generally use manual focus and have it set at the minimum focussing distance :)

Nice shot! It's an Assassin Bug... it uses that spike that's folded under its head to pierce its insect prey :)
