Pet photos are few and far between at my end.

This guy....

My Dad is 88 years old and came to live with us last October. He is always looking for things to do to ”help out’ around the house. I work an overnight shift and sleep during the day. Woke up this afternoon to find him sitting in his walker and shoveling the 10-12 inches of snow we got overnight off of the deck.

Unbelievable the drive he has.

Not a great or particularly well composed picture, but he is about as willing to get his picture taken as my wife and dog so I have to sneak a shot when I can.

My mother moved in with us when she was about 86 years old, and lived to age 98 (about one year ago). She literally split her own firewood until around 82 years of age, using a double-butted axe. So she lived in our homes the rest of those years, generally gardening in spare time.

Every few months, I enjoy going through old photos like this.

Out looking for birds and a big one flew over. The thought over lowering shutter speed for prop blur did not cross my mind at that moment.

Yup, most of my growing up years he was a 2-3 pack a day smoker

Nowadays he stretches a pack 3-4 days, but won’t quit. Maybe the 2-3 pots of coffee a day balances it all out:-D

We got a foot of snow Sunday night, my Monday morning commute home was nerve racking and took two and a half times the normal amount of time. No time for pictures, too busy just surviving.

This morning roads were much better and even though all the snow is still here, got home at usual time so stopped for a few shots before it melts.

That thing has always impressed me!

I once read an entire novel based on the fact that the Author featured the Osprey in the story. :)

"Hammerheads" if anyone is interested. It was decades ago, so don't recall how good it was, but I did finish it so it couldn't have been too bad :)

I set anti-flicker to disable and it felt lake it made a world of difference with the increase in fps. I’m also loving this 28-70 for basketball.

Nothing exciting to shoot lately. Maybe tomorrow when everything is shut down for an ice storm.
